The Wait is Over

The season is upon us all again, with the senior age groups starting this Sunday 24th March

Ballarat v Warrnambool Rangers play at Trekardo Park with all other Division 1 games being played at Morshead Park.

Juniors and Mini Roos commence on the 31st of March.

The draw was released on Thursday; delays were caused by extra teams being entered in the Div 2 Open, Under 17 Open, Under 14 Open (Good News) and a withdrawal of a Div. 1 Women’s Team all in the last five days.

We also had a number of extra Mini Roo teams entered and expect some more team entries, with more players turning up to clubs over the last week.

Under 16 Girls Competition: follow up from meeting held with clubs (those with Girls Teams) after the Clubs Meeting  decided to put back the start of the Under 16 Girls Competition to the 28th April and to contact the Geelong Soccer Association about options to improve the Girls League. Negotiations have started.

It has been challenge with St. George, Victoria Park, Wendouree, Buninyong, and Pleasant Street 2, not available for at least 4 weeks.  Russell Square, Warrnambool, Maryborough and Horsham are not available the first week. As a result some compromises had to be made to fit it all together for the start of this season.

Due to ground closures the first Mini Roo Hub will be on the 7th April shared between Ballarat and Ballarat North United.

The BDSA wish all the Clubs an enjoyable and successful 2019 Season.
